Have you even read the Bentley section on this?  Looked at the tools
required?

I think mostly, we go get a used tranny and put that in.
My 200's tranny needs a new 1st gear synchro... or maybe worse.
I've been mulling over this for many months, asked for recommendations
for mechanics, looked at the Bentley.  A _very experienced_ mechanic
might attempt it...  Me?  I think not.  Not without a spare
tranny and being willing to R&R the tranny twice if the repair didn't
work.
