I wonder if the JCWhitney unit is the same as you describe. It retails
for ~$70.
I sold my '89 200TQ with the CB so now I am vulnerable to the road
vultures.
Except I still have my old V1 tho.
My both cars (A4 and S6) lack the under dash parcel shelves so I need to
come up with a tiny CB which would be transportable between the cars. I
am considering the unit(s) that you're describing, Al. I believe Dan
Simoes also has one, at least he advised me to get it over a year ago.
Somebody asked about the antenna. In my 200 I had a through the glass
cellular style CB antenna, mounted in the top centre of the windshield
and raked back Euro style. This antenna had a remarkable performance.
Would pull in stations more than 20 miles away. I bought it from
JCWhitney for $25 on sale.
