The 016 transmission uses self-adhesive paper gaskets as axle flange to
CV joint seals. The Bentley recommends replacing them whenever the CV joint
is separated from the axle flange. Your call - they are cheap at the dealer
if I recall correctly.
The driver for the bolts is called "triplesquare" bit. It is available
from Snap-On, Mac tools, and as a 3-pack set at some auto tool shops. These
fasteners are common on Audis and VWs.
