Agreed on that much. Every sub $1000 audi I have seen has been a real
project. Also, on the 4k vs 4kq running costs of repairs I can say that
in my experience, the 4 cyl 4k is cheaper. How about new brake rotors on
the 4k at $20 each. How about 35 mpg on the 4k. How about cheaper/easier
timing belt and water pump changes. Otoh, a 4kq is still more fun to
drive.
