Alexander,

I'll throw in my 2 cents but I am jumping into the middle of your thread so
pardon me if this has been discussed before.

The idle stabilzer valve is located on the bottom of the throttle body on
my '88 80Q and the full throttle switch is on top. The wiring is joined
together at a connector on the side.

Double check to see if the intake air boot is properly fit onto the
throttle body and the filter end. It is a particularly snug fit on the
throttle side and I've had problems in the past with it seeming to be on
but finding a problem from a leak later on. It is really hard to diagnose
but check it several times to be sure. It's a real pain.

Also check on the larger vacumn line into the throttle body. There is a 90
degree fitting that will come loose. If it is loose it will rotate in the
throttle body. Be careful not to turn too hard as there are splines on the
fitting that will strip if you force it. This is a place where leaks may
occur.

Hope this helps.

Jim
