I've also experienced this but only when I was still a fair bit short of the 
absolute limit ... try pushing it harder still.   

BTW, it's nice to know that some people can vigorously defend a point of view 
yet remain open to further investigation of it as circumstances change ... my 
hat's off to you, Phil.  :^)
