I hate to break up this little spider-bite love-in, but I feel
compelled to remind you and Jeff that Phil hasn't changed his
tune at all. You act as if he has seen the light and been
converted. From what I remember, he was under the impression
that the bite had at least as much to do with the chassis as
the center diff--he never denied that it happened.
Now that he has apparently experienced it, the circumstances
seem to support his viewpoint. One driver, driving on the
same roads in similar conditions, gets bitten in a 44 car
where he has previously had no problems in an 85. Hmmm...
And let me say that after having hitched a ride with him,
I know that he certainly has the skills to take the 85
chassis to the limit.
Hope I didn't just dump a jug of toluene-juiced fuel on this
smoldering fire. I've been following this since it's
inception with interest, and still have an open mind (or I'm
too dumb to pick a side).
