Your concern is valid. I know that Candian Rally regulations have a
specified angle below horizontal that you belts cannot go, for that same
reason. I'm thinking that the angle that results using the rear seat belt
mounting points may be below that specified angle...?
What about using the baby seat mounting points, on the rear parcel shelf?
They are (somewhat) designed for the same sort of loads. Order longer
harness straps to reach?
