Schley wheel bearing tool question...
According to the instructions, the hub is pushed out of the bearing by
threading two long bolts through it so they push against the flat portion of
the strut housing. IME, this works great on 4x100 and 5x112 bolt patterns
but on the 4x108 bolt pattern used on the non-turbo 5k, the bearing housing
extends outward far enough to interfere with the bolts so this approach
doesn't -- in fact, can't -- work...
Am I doing something wrong here and/or does this tool not work on these
struts and/or am I missing a part for it? Any BTDTs will be greatly
appreciated as I put my foot in my mouth and offered to do a favor for an
elderly couple who live down the street from me ... will I *ever* learn?
