Did you hit the rev limiter?
I got a 2141 the other day after deliberately hitting the rev
limiter. The check engine light came on about an (uphill)
mile later.
Anyone seen the check engine light or pulled a 2141 after hitting
the rev limiter?
The 2141 is almost certainly due to the ECU getting confused
over which cylinder is firing. It is listening for a quiet
signal from cyl 1 or 5 and gets a real loud one from 2, 3 or 4
and thinks there is knock when there isn't.
I'm also suspicious of the hall sender since this is what tells
the ECU which cylinder it is on and there IS a bug in the MAC11
related to the current cylinder if the hall sender is missed
for more than 51 revs.
