URQ sorting out - Valve seals

Huw,

Its been a long time since I had to do any valve stem seal replacement.
Couple of DIY  incl. shims back in the pre. 85 Hydraulic lifter days before
teflon seals.  If it is the same as the old 1.6 l - 4 cyl VW AUDI motors,
then you can do this.  Just make sure the air fitting is screwed in tight,
Valves are positively closed on the cyl. your working on - 30-40 PSI should
suffice.   Make sure car is blocked and in gear - the pressure could cause
the motor to turn when you least expect.  If you were to loose pressure -
Off with the Head!
