Trailer hitch

Car: 1990 200aq.

I made the mistake of getting UHaul to add a trailer hitch to my car.  
The problem is that the last exhaust pipe hanger bracket barely clears the
hitch. As I drive, the exhaust pipe heats up, expands, and hits the hitch.  
Then it starts to rattle and shake like a machine gun.

I've actually cut away some of the bracket to make more room, which fixed
most of the problem, but I need to cut away some more.  I was wondering if
anyone else had a better solution (bending the exhaust pipe, some custom
bracket, etc?)
