Wrong Greg/Public apology... (was: Pikes Peak Debate)

Bruce Bell,

Please read that message again. You attacked Greg Johnson, not me (Greg
Amy).

I'm sorry, but you may be right. ScottJ could very well be a real nice guy
in person, and he and I might even find ourselves friends. However, I doubt
that it will never happen, because we have not (and probably never will)
meet, therefore I can only make conclusions based on the way he handles
himself on the Quattro list.

His public displays, both on the list(s) and in hear-say reports of
Monterrey, lead me to believe that ScottJ is an immature, smart-ass,
intellectually lacking, self-conscious individual incapable of admitting
either guilt or of possibly being incorrect on ANYTHING. He appears to be
incapable of having an mature adult conversation. His "debates" have
consistently and quickly degraded to ad hominum attacks, name-calling,
baiting, and defensive slams. I keep waiting for him to go on the list and
tell someone that their "Momma wears Army boots."

He reminds me of the smart-ass weenie kid in high school that consistently
got himself beat up by shooting off his mouth to the football players.
However in this case ScottJ has the ability to hide behind a telephone line
and a keyboard.

Why I suddenly felt the need to play "football player" and waste my time
"beating him up" is beyond me.

However, there comes a point when most sane individuals get tired of such
exchanges. When that point arrived I degraded myself by lashing out with the
same immature tactic, the ad hominum attack. For that I am ashamed, and I
will simply vow to not lower myself to that level again. My "Over/Under"
post yesterday was sarcastic and rude (sorry, CharlieS, it was only a joke),
and the follow up last night was completely unproductive.

Mea Culpa.

ScottJ will never back down, will never say "Enough!" and will never admit
that maybe, possible, he could be wrong or that there might be another point
of view to be considered. Well, *I'm* saying "enough!" This is the last that
I will say anything on the matter. I sincerely doubt it will be the last
that ScottJ has to say.

You, Bruce, have more information to base a sound judgement on Justusson.
But if I were a close friend of Scott's as you claim to be, I'd certainly be
looking at the way he handles himself in public before standing up to defend
that behavior.

Over and Out.

Greg Amy

P.S. BTW, for those that may not know, the backhand-slap references to
"BIRA" refer to the Brake Improvement Research Association, a group of Audi
owners that got together to try and group-design and -buy a cost effective
performance solution to the too-expensive Big Bertha brakes, using quality
components.

Our motto is "Virtually all the performance, at only 1/3 the price!"

We are about to release information about the retail availability of all of
our designs. If you want to know more, visit the web site at
