Don't do it. I'm down to one vacuum connection on the manifold for my
82 and nothing else for the brake boost. Fine for the street, but I
only use one pedal at a time with my right foot.
Was just out pretending to bed in some pads and power discs, tried the
driving against the brakes bit and a few pumps with the engine over 3k
results in a rock solid pedal and no assist. Like just 3 or four pedal
presses, not nailing it or anything.
And when the assist is gone, it takes a lot of effort to get any
braking.
You're racing, you need the pump I think.
(to get example of what assistless brakes are like go somewhere you have
a lot of room to act stupid in and kill the engine at a decent speed.
then pump the brakes a few times to use the stored vacuum. When the
pedal goes hard that's what you'll have without the pump)
