Reading about all the 1.8 swap jazz and wondering what about a 2.8bi turbo
Well, listers I am fond of all these ideas about the little 1.8 turbo motor
going into my car but this isn't really what I want to know and I will tell
you why. This motor is small and being small it will be loud (even with
turbo) personally I like the hearty growl of my inline five and speed means
just a little bit less than sound does to me. What would interest me would
be a BI-turbo or even a single turbo 30 valve V6 in my car? Hey it fits in
the A4 just like the 1.8T and they had a 12 valve version of the same engine
in 90's and in cabriolet's so I think it might actually work and think about
it you can have it factory fresh too and how much horsepower was that again?
Forget puny (smaller) 4 cyl engines in a car that needs at least a 20 V 5 cyl
just to make it competitive against what would be it's market segment today
and go with an engine that would surpass all in it's market segment. Blow
the doors of every BMW and Porsche and almost any other car made currently
off the road. BTW this is where I start considering the ABS swap idea as you
need way more than just good brakes to stop a car like this you need the best
and that includes some form of ABS.
