This should not be a problem IMO/E, especially if you are planning to
replace the hose. The fitting at the end where the metal tube attaches has
a compression fitting (at least on the 4kQ), so if you loosen the fitting at
that end you should find that the flex hose will turn freely. If you don't
find that to be the case, all you need do is to hack the blasted hose in
half! I realize that folks who have to deal with harsher winters may have
more of a problem ...
