RE: was cambelt/lifter noise solution
Hi Sachelle
Checked the oil and it was a bit low, then measured 5mm from the max mark
and marked it with a file, filled up to that level, lifters now almost
quiet. Well done great tip and no nasty side effects either,
Thanks very much for your help, if only everything on Audi's was this easy.

It's a small amount over the line. I really don't use so much that seals
are in danger (I used to run my old turbo like this. It had a larger oil
capacity anyway due to its dual filter setup). Because the level is as the
top and the rod is smooth (oil can't be captured to make a great reading),
I'd judge it at 5mm (?) above full? I'l check for sure tomorrow.
