Re: '86 4KCSQ - two quick questions

I had the same problem with my both my 4000q's,(86 and
87) The problem I had on both was the reserve tank had
a crack in it, right where the hose attatches to it on
the bottom of the tank, this allowed just a little
anti -freeze to leak out and get on the engine. The
engine would burn it off so I couldn't located it by
looking for a leak under the car. Just happend to
notice it once when just by chance I looked at the
tank and jiggled it at the same time. I got a
replacement tank at the junk yard for 10bucks, 1/2
hour of labor and voila months and months of almond
smelly air in my car GONE!!!
