Re: 5kcstq brakes hanging up- similiar problem?
Thanks, but that was the first thing I thought of and checked to make sure
there was free play. The petal operates freely till the play is taken up
then stiff. An interesting note is that it seems to have gone away by
itself while I was procrastinating the purchase of a new master. I have not
been driving it much lately and then mostly short trips that would not cause
it to act up.
I would agree that it is most likely gunk plugging the return bleed
although apx 6 months prior to this problem surfacing I had bleed both the
brakes and clutch hydraulics (my brother and I did 6 of our cars that day)
purely for maintance as I knew they ALL needed it.
