Re: V8 engine in type 44

Sorry for what,
I never said the V8 was faster. Stock they are about the
same. And chipped of course the 200 will be faster. BUT...I think the V8
is a better car. Its stiffer, has better steering, feels more
nimble. Shayne Pavlic's family has a 91' V8, 91' 200, and an ur-S4 all in
the same garage. One night we took them all out back to back for a
duel. :-) Boy was that fun. WHile the S4 was my favorite (God I love
those seats) THe V8 wasn't far behind. The the 91' felt, well, heavy and
boring. The V8 weighs more but feels lighter. ANd across an
intersection, the V8 was faster than them all. Unless you drop the clutch
on the S4 at really high RPM's but with the V8 its not needed. 3,500 RPM,
firm release and your rocketing across the intersection.
Anyhow, I know the 200 is faster, but the V8 is better. IMHO. If
only it was turbocharged as well so we could get 400hp from it. :-)
