RE: 4kq Timing Mark???
Chris
Best thing to do is to rotate the engine by hand a little at a time using the crank pulley bolt (27mm) and look through the window on the bellhousing until you find the TDC mark (it's a 0 ) then to the right of this by 17 to 19 degrees is the timing mark. I use tippex to mark the marks and pointer on the bellhousing, the timing light picks it up better. The marks are a bit of pain to find , but if you turn the engine over by hand slowly then you will find them.

Subject: 4kq Timing Mark???
Where is the friggin timing mark on the bellhousing/flywheel on an 86 4kq?
For the life of me I cannot see any mark whatsoever. The Bentley couldn't be
more vague. Also, is 110 psi good compression for 140k miles? All 5 have
it. TIA
Chris
