Nope,  in fact, I bet to 30 your 4kq is faster if its a strong car.  The
20v motor pulls real well above 4k but below its a slug.  ANd in a
3,200??? lb car it takes it a while to get moving.  But they sure are
smoother, and better on the highway.
   But, I'll take my 4ktq.  I like the feel of the lighter cars.  However,
I'll take a 200 or S4 or V8 ANY day for a Road Trip.

I took my first test drive in a 1990 CQ 20v today.  What a difference from
my
86 4kq!  I think everyone that owns a more modern Audi takes for granted
all
the creature comforts included with those cars, as opposed to the older 4
and
5k's.  Power seats, leather, QUIET, smooth engine, etc.  And not to
mention
more power at the top end.  However, and I know this is strange having
only
115 hp, my 4kq seems to be just as fast from 0-30.  Not a complaint, just
a
little unexpected coming from a car with approx. 165 hp.  Really nice car,
though.  Still want one BAD.
