"Family album" info
Ref: Your note of 14 Dec 1999 11:05:44 -0800
Hi Jim, usually instead of attempting to simulate the dongle, it
is more direct to remove calls to it. This usually means tracing
them function by function, but eventually the application no
longer needs the dongle. There are apps that make a call every
so many keystrokes for example. Alldata doesn't use a dongle
does it? --G.

I don't know about the "Et-kah" but I do you about our CD
product. Yes it is possible run by loading the CD on to a hard
drive but it still requires a dongle. The dongle can also tell
whether the CD you have is current or not and can prevent you
from reading an out dated CD or a CD that is newer than your
subscription. It depends on the programming of the dongle.
Dongles are apparently not easy to get around.
