Crankshaft Group - Adjusting the Alternator Belt
- Slacken bolts A and B by at least one full turn.
- Turn tensioning nut C until the proper torque is achieved.
- Tighten alternator mounting bolts to the correct torque.
- Note that bolt A closes a high-pressure oilway and an oil leak will result if this bolt is left loose.
- Tighten the hydraulic pump and air conditioning belts until steady thumb pressure moves the belt ca. 10mm in the centre.
