Eric,

True statements about the other cars with one exception. The Acura Legend
Coupe was available with a 6 speed manual and 230 HP 3.2L engine....but no
AWD....hence the reason it was crossed off my list when I bought my very
first Audi back in '98.

OK, So the ECS Tuning kit is $170, which ain't too shabby.
I need to redo all four, so that kit makes sense. Now, for the question -
has anyone written up *how* to do this without breaking stuff? I want to do
this right, so that it'll be a fix to be proud of, to show off to my wife
and say, "see, I can fix stuff!"
Hints, tips, and suggestions welcomed. :)
While not to re-energize a flame-fest, I thought some about my S6 vs. Lexus
and Acura cars of that same era. ISTR that the Lexus cars were M-B
knock-offs in style, and had Buick-like ride quality. The Acuras of that age
were barely more than tarted-up Hondas. And I don't think any of them could
perform nearly as well as the S6. Of course, they didn't cost as much,
either. And I don't think there's going to be an "Acura-fest" or a
"Lexus-fest" any time in the near future! Just like you don't buy a Ferrari
for it's ease of maintenance and reliability, you don't buy an S-Car for
it's mere transportation ability. Heck, if that's all I wanted, I could buy
an A1 Scirocco, drop in a 1.8T mill, full 16V leather interior, and still
have a ton of money left over for replacement bits.
While it would be fun, it wouldn't be an S-car. :)
Now, about that door trim BTDT...
