[V8] Cruise Control Wiring

Just an FYI on wire splicing technique (since I have nothing to add to help you
with your problems :-)
I am a firm believer in solder and tape because the connections last for ever,
but there are cases where you should NOT use solder. One case is if the wire
will flex anywhere near the connection. When you solder a stranded wire, solder
will wick down the copper, under the insulation, for some distance. When this
happens, you get a solid wire connected to a stranded wire and if it flexes at
all, it will quickly break.
BTDT
Either solder well back from the flex points, or use crimp connectors.
