[V8] Insurance scam...what? Again! Good Grief!

I am no fan of speed bumps - but I am also on the neighborhood group to install
them on my street.
It is too common to see or hear cars go by in excess of 60 MPH. They have been
clocked at 90+MPH. Are you saying it would be better to station a full time
police officer on my street? That would be a better use of tax payer money?

btw, my street is old and steep, has no sidewalks, was designed for 25MPH, and
was designed to be a dead end. It is a purely residential street. Growth has
made it a major arterial to newer subdivisions. On a side note - why should I
have to pay in lost home value (appreciation) for the new houses up the street
just so they can get to the mall faster?

So far, my son has been knocked off his bike, my dog was hit, and my parked
truck was hit (and run).

until people learn to drive in a civilized manner (not likely), I have no choice
but to force the issue. If I had my way, we would have speed dips that would
launch a speeding car into orbit. Probably not a sane idea, but it sure would
feel good.
In a way we do have just that. There is a steep "S" curve just below me. Every
snow day we have a nice pile of bent cars stuck to the rock wall down there.
The corner is clearly marked at 20MPH for dry pavement. On ice 10MPH is pushing
your luck. People routinely take it at 35MPH.
