I kindah doubt that there is anything the car could do that would cause a
bad cell. Interestingly, the battery in my '87 5000CSQTW died last month,
I think it was the original (!). Well, guess what? The new battery died
last week! The parts store tested the battery and verifiedd it was
defective and installed another one no charge, even though the original
replacement was cash-and-carry.
