Mercedes S class vs. V8

In a momentary lapse of judgement (aided by dropping $1600 on a PS rack), I
came very close to trading the V8 in on a new S class Benz....after driving
the Benz for a morning, I came to a few conclusions:

1. It is an absolutely ENORMOUS car...dwarfs the V8.  In fact, dwarfs the
old S class (saw the two body styles side by side on the used car
lot...really puts the size in perspective.

2. related to above, I would not describe the S as nimble.  Makes the V8
feel positively tossable.

3. They are rather expensive (not that this is a surprize, mind you, just
seeing 67,000 on the window sticker of a 6 cylinder car (320) kind of opens
your eyes.

My final decision is to keep the V8 for a while longer...it truly is a FUN
car.  After reading Paul's comments on the A8, that might be an alternative
in the fall, but for now, you can't beat the V8.
