Nope not the stereo for sure.

It is definetly coming from the compressor when the clutch engages and 
starts to pump.
The whine is most annoying I cannot decide which is louder the rear 
wheel bearing which I am going to fix tomorrow or the whine from the 
compressor.
If I touch a screw driver to the compressor and handle of screw driver 
to my ear the noise is the compressor.
Anyone that has heard on the old compressor which I took off today they 
say the bearings are going and I had better change it before it takes 
our the compressor clutch when it seezes.
