A/C Compressor

After two AC shops and the Audi dealer today, all three indicate the 
bearings in the compressor are going and that's the whining I hear.

I cannot image that that little whine that I hear at the compressor can 
make it back to the cabin at the noise level it has.

I am wondering now if I am missing some of the mounting hardware that 
may dampen the noise transfer, like a bushing or something.

I also thought maybe the belt was too tight but the three shops seem to 
think I have it setup perfectly.

I have checked my Bentley and as far as it indicates all parts are 
there.

Third used compressor and the exact same noise out of all three of them.

The expansion valve was replaced last summer and the rest of the system 
completely checked by Audi dealer.

I know the right answer to this, buy a new compressor if I want quiet 
cold air.
