Right on! My 17yr old son recently totalled my '92 droccA. I spent a year
with him on the permit, but with the pressure of work, did NOT take a few
weekends on the wet and snow to do skid work (as I did with all other
students). I let him talk me out of the 5am Sunday morning treks to the
frozen parking lots too. I am practically certain that doing that would have
preserved my car and his ego. Due to seatbelts, airbag, and MOSTLY luck, he
was uninjured; and I am having to sort out insurance claims, my "new"
wrinkled 5ktq, and kicking myself for not MAKING the opportunity for better
emergency skills training last winter when the time was right.
