Ditto. I've spent most of my driving life where snow lays solid for 6 mos/year and
I always ran snows in all 4 corners, each had 6 rows of carbide studs. Yes, the
studs are absolutely great on ice. Great in the first year, that is. Lee did not
mention that they dull within one winter on the occasional patches of asphalt. I
thought that studded tyres would be a bit of an overkill here, in Philly we are
driving mostly on asphalt all winter long. That was why I went with Nokia NRW and
did not regret it a bit.
