My original engine is the 2.22l  don,t they have a different bore?
Plus the turbo pistons are forged, would the regular ones survive?
I am also on a budget and don't have the money to spent looking for 
rere V8 or 200tq trannys.  I have access to a cheap pair of 90 
quattro trannys ($300) and was wondering if it would fit.  And yes it 
has the same 4.11:1 ratio as the 4kq.  I would also try to make the 
KE Jetronic work with the turbo since I have no budget for the 
1984-88 5kt computer and don't like the old mechanical K Jetronic.
