license plate mounts

hi dan, when i picked up my 86 5kcdtq it had broken licence plate mounts and
i <fixed it> by cutting two 1/8" aluminum rectangles to cover the missing
plastic and extend about 3/4" ito the good plastic. i drilled a couple of
1/8" holes and pop rivetted the plates in position. i then positioned the
license plate to mark the mounting holes, drilled 3/32 holes and used self
tapping screws to mount the plate. it's quick, dirty, but does the job and
is hidden anyhow.
