Like it? I *detest* car radios that shut off when you turn off the ignition.
I sometimes *like* the music that is playing when I arrive home, and
occasionally stay in my car listening until the end of the song, or a better
place to cut the music off than when I happened to arrive. I don't want to
leave my car running to avoid turning off something that I'm listening to.
(Switching to the accessory position turns it off first.) I also sometimes
listen to the radio while I work on the car. I think the accessory position
of the ignition is a stupid PIA.

I suggest you get used to turning off your radio before you wire it so that it
sucks (IMHO). (Unless you listen so quietly that you can actually get out of
your car without noticing that it is on, and you drain your batter. I
remember my older brother getting in trouble about that in our '55 Chevy.
He'd turn it down low while necking on a date, come home and leave it on, and
that tube radio would have it dead by morning.)
