FWIW, it's been my experience that pissing people off by insisting that
something should be done for free is best left to AFTER they've done it ...
it won't effect the quality of the work they're about to do (which is always
my number one concern) and if you have a valid claim, there will be no hard
feelings.  I can also say that if free advice is worth what you pay for it,
then so is a free car stereo installation ...  btdt!
