Re: Battery problems in 93 90CS
Daniel Adams V6 has a 18 month battery problem.
I happen to work on batteries for a living, and
the quality control is such that almost all car
batteries are designed to live for the warrenty
+ 10% of life. Threre is a huge profit motive
to doing so. No more, no less.
Your car is eating the batteries. You could either
be overcharging, or overdischarging the battery.
That would mean either you regulator is not set
correctly, or you have a short circuit, or your
alternator is not putting out enough amps, or you party
alot with your bass turned up down by the stream ;-)
Your dealer should really test the regulator and
and the alternator for you. But since they prolly
want $$$ to do so, you might try somthing simple.
I suggest putting a DMM on the terminals and watching
the voltage as you go from 1000-5000 rpms, or run with
the meter attached for a week and see what gives.
Tell us what you find...
