Duct Tape:

This is one of the most indespenible items a Rallyist should have with
them at all times.

One very important note about using this product is that it should be
removed IMMEDIATELY after the event and if your vinyl has an armor-all
like product on it that makes removal somewhat easier.

One thing that duct tape can secure to your dashboard is the clipboard
with the rally route instructions.
