Dealer list price is something like $620 including the mounting bracket.
Some people have found it for less. Installation at the dealer is usually
something ridiculous, but it's very easy to install yourself -- takes maybe
15 minutes, or a little longer if you have the Bose system, only because the
rear amp kind of gets in the way when you pull back the trunk liner to expose
the CD cable. Check back issues of the quattro list for detailed
instructions.
I have no idea what kind of specs the changer has. It sounds fine to me,
and I doubt that in a car environment anyone could tell the difference
between any half-decent unit and a really high-end one.
