Re: glass fix?
Mike,
This might be good and work in theory, but the headlight lenses on my
5KTQ are filled with tiny chips from road junk (from years of hwy miles). To
fill each one in with epoxy would take 9,000,000 years! Seriously! The one th
ing I have thought of doing though is getting some high-concentrate glass polis
h and a buffing wheel and buffing them out. Most likely a slow and expensive p
rocess, but probably cheaper than new ones. I have the same problem with pitti
ng on my windshield, and I called a guy who polishes glass and he told me that
it is not worth it and that a new windshield isn't much more than his service.
I checked and to replace the windshield with an OEM piece of glass is about
$250, not bad! So, mentioning that, how much are new headlight lenses? And, I
don't mean dealer prices. Has anyone called GPR or Carlsen on this?

Dan
