Atlanta body shops?
My bumper was recently broken when someone glided into it at a
stoplight; no major damage, other driver fully insured, so everything's
OK. I went to the dealer to get an estimate and got one of $680 for a
new bumper installed. The insurance company of the other driver
politely (or not so politely?) told me to get a few more estimates.
I went around for a while and went to some pretty bad looking places,
until I stumbled across a shop that was actually on the way home from
work: Atlanta European Collision Repair. They gave me an estimate of
~$450, but what they will do is take off the old bumper, completely
strip it, patch the hole, and then repaint it and re-install it. The
bumper would have a 5-year warranty on workmanship (the patch) and color
match, provided (of course) that no one else hit it.
Does this sound like a reasonable idea? It's the best one I've seen so
far.
Also, does anyone have any experience with these guys? They seemed
pretty competent, and they do work on BM, MB, Audi and other european
makes.
TIA!
