When Switching to synth (WAS: Moral support really needed....)

Synth will generally make hydraulic lifters *noisier*.  But if you can deal with the 
clickety-clackity, Michael's suggstion is a good one--synthetic will treat you motor 
better than dino.  

I (of course) lost the post I would like to enclose here regarding increased filter 
changes in the early stages after switching to synth, to remove the deposits loosened 
by the new 'scrubbing' the motor gets...
