Doh! Sorry. You're right. I guessed the right amount in the wrong direction.

I know a guy that did this and he didn't like it. It made the his car really
lound. This is why I made sure to get the scorpion piece with a resonator.
The sound level increased significantly with the resonator Scorpion piece
going into a stock baffled rear. When I get the scorpion rear, it's going
to be at the threshold of what I can stand. With no resonator in the middle
piece and a free-flow rear, the car will be loud. The guy who did it this
way said his car set off car alarms when he went by. He installed a piece
with a resonator and was much happier. Having new boxes welded into the
stock pipes is a good, economical way to go, but I'd think twice about
not installing a resonator in that center piece. I'm pretty sure there's
another little box toward the front of the exhaust system that will make
a big performance improvement if you remove it...
