Alldata CD ROM reply

The TSB are handy. The repair manual is sporadic. Some info is complete,
others is not. Diagrams and electricals are all image files taken out of
the manual. When you ask yourself "why and how" it leaves you wondering.
Nothing like the VW books that explain theory and provide tips. For late
model cars, there is nothing else available, so you have no choice but to go
with Alldata. Still, nothing beats a paperback manual....

A disadvantage for Alldata is paying extra for the TSB and the repair manual
portions... they are billed seperately! 'Rumor' has it that there is a way
around this... by loading the CD rom on two different computers... one for
TSB's and the other for the repair manuals...
