Hold the presses...the GTI is alive!  The guy came to apraise it today, and
it turns out he is an x-vw owner, and was not only great to deal with, but
understanding and told me that the car WOULD NOT be totaled, and that I would
"be taken care of well..."  That was not completely true, as they recomended
a Rental Agency for a car (they deemed my exhaust leak to make the car
dangerous to drive!), however, after much talking and information giving I
was informed that they did not rent to people under 21.  I was upset, so
tomorrow I have to call the insurance comp. Again!  And ask them for a real
rent a car.  However, this may all turn out for the better....it looks like I
should be getting a large check...

PS Mike....Shumacher most likely won't win the title because of an inferior
car, not inferior driving ability..He should jump ship to GT racing...
