Actually, it has been disconnected for 7 days.....

The correct connector also disconnects the capacitor, making it safe 
to mess with.  Nearest dealer is 90 miles away - but we FOUND it a 
few minutes ago, hiding on the pasenger side of the console  - and 
factory spec (and verbal directions, and Bentley direction) is on the 
driver's side of the console.  So we are OK.

YAY!!  It's found!
