Re: ABS cable breaking

This brings up a question, since I just replaced my second ABS
sensor last week. Both of my sensors were broken wires,
apparently right at the entrance hole to the sensor body. What
can be done to avoid this problem. It sucks to replace a $180
sensor because a $0.02 piece of wire breaks.
This suggests that the wheel motion is being taken by cable flex at
the sensor end instead of over the entire length of the cable.
Perhaps spiralling a modestly stiff spring over the cable and
attaching one end to the sensor (with epoxy?) would distribute the
stress over a longer distance. The spring shouldn't be so stiff that
it just moves the bend point to the end of the spring.
