Dislocated Shifter
The other day I had an unsettling occurence in my '88 90Q. I went to put
it in reverse, and the stick shift 'popped out of its socket'. I'm not
sure what really happened, but thats exeactly what it felt like: it was
loose, floppy, and had no guidance into its 6 positions. I could still get
it in gear, so I drove to work.. Later, I tried to back up, and it 'popped
back in.' It works fine, but it feels a lot looser than it did before this
whole fiasco, and I want to know if I should do anything, or if I have
nothing to worry about..
Thanks
