After my last post of window problems, I also found that I had alarm
problems too. After entering the car and preparing to start, the alarm
sounded off. The alarm thing really got me confused, thinking the two
were somehow related. 
Following advice I received, I discovered two wire breaks, which
caused both problems. These were in the usual drivers door hinge area
wiring.
